What is oral conscious sedation?

Oral conscious sedation makes it possible for patients to receive cosmetic and other dental procedures in complete comfort, free from all treatment sensations including pain, sounds and smells. Dr. Hernandez prescribes a sedative drug such as Valium, Halcion, Dalmane, and Versed, to be taken by mouth prior to treatment.
